Biological Filter Installation for Existing Ponds
Biological filters are installed at the start of a waterfall to improve water quality while creating a natural, flowing feature. They use beneficial bacteria to break down pond waste, helping to support healthier water and plant growth.
Water is fed from the pond pump into the filter, where it passes upward through internal filter media that traps debris and supports biological filtration. As the filter fills, clean water flows over the waterfall lip and down the rockwork, adding oxygen and improving circulation throughout the pond.
Biological filters can be retrofitted to most existing ponds and are available in sizes to suit a wide range of pond volumes. Larger ponds can use multiple filters for effective, balanced filtration.
